Even Alinghi skipper Morgan Larson could barely comprehend his team’s level of dominance in today’s racing at the Bullitt GC32 Sailing Cup Kiel.
The Kieler Fjord is the narrowest race course that the fleet of high-speed GC32s have yet encountered, so the five teams were keen to use the morning’s media sailing session to get the measure of the sailing area and the weather conditions.
Racing gets underway tomorrow for the third foiling one design catamaran event on the 2015 Bullitt GC32 Racing Tour, the Sailing Cup Kiel. This runs for the next four days on Kieler Förde, in the heart of Kiel on Germany’s Baltic coast.
After the Cowes Cup that culminated in the 50 miles Round the Island Race, the GC32s now move on to the tightest race course of the season
